COVID-19 Update and Advising Operations

COVID-19 Update and Advising Operations

We are aware that the COVID-19 situation is affecting how to provide service to our students. If you have not already, please see the latest COVID-19 updates and resources.

The CFAC Advising Center has moved to digital advising. It is important to note that even though you cannot access us in person, our advising staff is working tirelessly to assist you. We are still helping our students, just in an alternative format. To enable social distancing measures, we will not be holding drop in advising as planned in our office.

What does this mean for you? You can now access essential advising services from your computer! On our website under COVID-19 Advising Operations tab, you will see certain forms such as “Ask an Advisor”, “Registration Error”, “Major Change Request Form”, and “Advising for Summer & Fall 2020”. Please utilize these forms for your academic advising needs. We are actively reviewing these forms and will email your bobcat mail when we have completed your request.

After reviewing the forms, if you still need additional assistance, you can contact our office at 512-245-1932 or to request a ZOOM advising or phone advising appointment.

Our goal is to provide the same service for our students. The Office of University Registrar has announced that registration will be delayed by one week and will now begin on April 6th. During this digital advising period, students should continue to check our website for the most up to date information and advising processes.

Our hope is to reduce any anxiety or stress while meeting your immediate needs. Thank you for your patience.
