No Show Policy
"No-Show" Advising Policy
Students will be considered a no-show if they arrive to an appointment more than 10 minutes late, or if they do not cancel by phone or in person at least one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start time of the appointment. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will have to reschedule your appointment. During peak advising times this may be several days later.
Students are allowed three (3) no-shows in an academic year. If you exceed the maximum number of no-shows, you will lose your ability to schedule an advising appointment and will be required to attend a walk-in day in order to access our services. Walk-in appointments are limited in availability and in scope of advising.
The goal of walk-in advising is to confirm planned schedules for the next term. The meeting will focus on this and be limited to 15 minutes. Long-term planning is best suited for a standard advising appointment. If you are in violation of the No-Show Policy, you will not be able to use advising services to assist in long-term planning. Open walk-in days are held monthly on the third Monday of the month from 8:30AM-3:00PM. Please bring your printed degree audit and sign in at the Fine Arts and Communication Advising Center is located in Old Main 118.
PLEASE NOTE: Walk-in days are ONLY for those students who have exceeded the no-show policy. If you do not bring your printed degree audit, you will not be advised.
