The Wittliff Collections, housed in Texas State’s Alkek Library, include the Southwestern Writers Collection, which preserves and exhibits the literary papers and artifacts and is the largest archive of modern and contemporary Mexican photography in the United States.
With instructional space as well as design and production spaces, the Performing Arts Center is well equipped to meet the educational and artistic production needs of our academic units. The 69,122-square-foot facility features two professional-quality performance venues. Sitting at the intersection of University Drive and Moon Street, the Performing Arts Center serves as the new front door to the campus.
The University Galleries are physically located within the School of Art and Design on the 2nd floor of JCM. These sister spaces – with their 18’ ceilings and atrium lobby – provide over 3,000 square feet of museum quality exhibition space. The galleries, which are used separately for individual exhibitions and in tandem for combined exhibitions, will be host to a total of 16 varied exhibitions throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.

Students are skilled speakers, researchers, writers, problem-solvers and leaders. Our students create, transmit, and analyze the messages, which shape our personal, professional and public lives.
Proudly provides an intensive and nurturing environment that emphasizes student- faculty interaction. A long-standing, fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the School of Music has 90 Faculty who reach more than 500 students who perform in more than 30 ensembles.
